April

In April we can usually expect many rain showers from the heavens to water the world’s flowers and all life. Sometimes prolonged rain can cause people to become depressed and clamoring for a cessation of the constant rainfall.

As Christians though we can be reminded of the great blessings we have received in Holy Baptism. Baptism is God’s way of bring New Life, the Life of Jesus Christ into our hearts. Baptism is the link that connects us to our Lord and Risen savoir Jesus.

In the book of Romans, we welcome the words of the Apostle Paul as he explains the connection:

…don’t you know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were therefore buried with Him through Baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life!

If we have been united with Him like this in His death, we will certainly be united with Him in His Resurrection! For our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be done away with (drowned) that we should no longer be slaves to sin-because anyone who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him!!!

Romans 6: 3-8

The rain in April will come for sure, but when it comes REJOICE, for we are reminded of what our Baptism has accomplished for all of us who are believers!

Don’t let the rain create in you depression and sadness for the spring reign brings new life to the world.

JESUS CHRIST HAS BROUGHT NEW LIFE TO YOU!!!
