Harold J. Morowitz, a leading chemist, got a birthday card from his daughter.

It read, According to biochemists, the materials of your body are worth only 98 cents! Morowitz thought, Is that really what I’m worth?

In a chemical catalogue, he found the current prices of all the body’s chemicals. Hemoglobin sold for $285 per gram, insulin $47.50 per gram, alkaline phosphates for $225 per gram. Amazingly a hair follicle stimulating hormone was $8 million a gram. For a 168 pound man then could be worth $6,000,015.44!

So what do you think you are worth? Many people do not think they are worth very much at all. Children spend a great deal of time trying to figure out how much they are loved. Adults spend most of their years trying to find some sort of proof that they are valuable. So what do you think you are worth?

There can be no doubt what God thinks you are worth. Knowing that you were corrupted by sin the Lord our God loved you enough to send His Son Jesus with the sole purpose of saving you. Jesus lived a perfect life, and on your behalf carried your sins and died the death that you deserved to die. He took your place and paid the price for your forgiveness.

Today and tomorrow, your life may be filled with false friends who forsake you, and belittle you by word and actions. When doubts come creeping in, please look at the cross of Jesus Christ and remember what He thinks of you and what you are worth. Finally it is only what He, the righteous judge thinks and that is what counts most of all!

YOU ARE VERY VALUABLE AND WORTH SO MUCH IN GOD’S EYES!!!
