It’s a difficult thing to be without power. We are so reliant on power for every aspect in life; so when the power is off we realize how dependent on it we are.

Besides the power we need for our everyday life in the world, we are also in need of power for our spiritual life. It is for that very reason that Jesus, upon His Ascension, promised His Disciples and all who would believe in Him, power from on high. You are aware that power was poured out on the Disciples on the Day of Pentecost.

The Holy Spirit was given to grant boldness, courage and conviction to believers so that we could accomplish the privileged task of bringing people into a relationship with Jesus the Christ.

There is still much work to be done before the King of Glory returns to judge the living and the dead. Many of your neighbors, friends, family and acquaintances do not yet know Jesus or call Him their Lord and Master. We will spend our lifetime sharing Jesus Christ with every one we meet. No need to fear what to say or how to say it, because the Holy Sprit will give you the right words and people will be drawn through His power to a loving relationship with Christ.

Why not spend some time this summer praying for individuals you would like to reach for Christ and for opportunities to reach them. You may be surprised at how receptive these folks will be to your message.

May God grant you a blessed summer and share your successes with one another to encourage each other in the journey of faith.
