November

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praise to Your Name O Most High!  (Psalm 92).

The Psalmist reminds us how good a thing it is to give thanks to the Lord. There is, after all much to thank Him about. As we enter the month of November we all look forward to our national Thanksgiving Day. A good thing to do might be to list all of the blessings for which you are thankful. Take some time during the course of Thanksgiving Day to pray together with your family and friends through this list. It will make your gathering together more meaningful. Most of all we must remember to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for suffering and dying for our sins; removing the guilt and taking away God’s punishment to grant us life eternal in Heaven. Thank Him for our leaders and pray for their leadership to be directed by God. Thank the Lord for the freedoms we enjoy, especially the freedom to worship Him. Thank Him for our congregation and the privileges and resources to bring His light to a dark world. Then sing a song of praise or two to lift the thanks to Heaven. Remember to join us for worship Wednesday evening @ 7 p.m on November 21. Enjoy your day of Thanksgiving and remember it is good to give thanks to the Lord!!!
