Pastor's Place

September

There is an old song entitled, See You in September. Now that summer is over, it’s time to begin thinking about getting active again at Church. Your congregation needs everyone’s involvement. September is a great time to recommit to the Lord and activity in Church. We will soon begin again with Sunday school and many other activities in our congregation. You can help out a great deal with your prayers for the Lord to move within our congregation in all it is gearing up to do. Prayer first of all for souls to be reached; especially for those who do not yet have a relationship with the Lord! Pastor Ramdat Saran and his team are preparing to reach out to our community and have plans to start a mission to those around us. Pray for success in this valuable ministry. Also begin to ask the Lord how you may become involved in helping our congregation to grow. We need to reinvigorate those who are already members and also finding ways to involve and disciple those who are not yet members. Your Pastor will be doing his part, but he needs your help to reach out. Pray for and invite your family and friends to worship and participate in all the upcoming events as you learn of them.

September is traditionally a time of new beginnings and of starting up again. God has blessed St. Matthew Lutheran church with many gifts and resources to grow and thrive. Why not make this the time you will become more involved in God’s work? We are looking forward to seeing you all in worship this fall and getting more deeply committed to God’s plans for growth among us. If you have questions about how the Lord can use your abilities talk with the Pastor, Deacon. Head Elder or any of your leaders and let them know you are ready and willing to help in many ways. Let’s get to work! We have a lot of work and growth to accomplish. May the Lord bless and keep you as we strive together to do the Lord’s bidding.

Working side by side with you in Christ,

Pastor David
